In the first quarter, government spending rose by 2.71 percent,reversing from a 4.05 percent decline in the December quarter. Private non-profit expenditure expanded by 8.02 percent,as compared to a 6.72 percent growth in the preceding quarter exports increased by 8.04 percent, much faster than a 4.24 percent expansion in previous quarter.

Imports also rose by 5.02 percent, after a registering a 2.82 percent increase.

Gross fixed capital formation grew by 4.81 percent, compared to a 4.80 percent rise in the previous three months. Private consumption expanded by 4.93 percent year-on-year, slower than a 4.99 percent growth in the preceding quarter.
